PAX (6): Chum, Postal (Jeff McMichael), professor, Speedo, Tupperware, Zohan

Preamble:

Beautiful morning for a tour of the other side of the park. Let's go.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey toward the splash pad and circle up for:
  • Weed pickers IC x10
  • Hillbillies IC x10
  • Copperhead squats IC x10
  • Hangovers L/R
  • Phelps

The Thang:

My favorite wall was right there when we could not pass that up. In a semi-balls-to-the-wall position, we did 10 4-count hip slappers. The guys begged for more but we had park to explore so off we went. Mosey past what looked like a scrap wood fort I may have built with my friends in the 70's to the back playground. Three sets of two exercises, with a lap in between each of the six sets. We did 10 swerkins, run, 5 pullups or 20 second dead hang, run. Rinse and repeat two more times. Mosey past the tennis courts to the coupon pile. Pick up a curl-worthy coupon and meet at the top parking lot. At the top, pax were instructed to do 15 reps of each of the following:
  • Curls
  • OH press
  • Skull crushers
  • Upright rows
When done, mosey down to the middle of the hill and rinse and repeat. Do it again at the bottom of the hill. Tupperware had long since questioned his choice of coupons and was grunting a bit more than usual. Mosey back up the hill (because it's there) where we saw a guy I EH'd last week. He was provided another opportunity to join us and was given our website this time. After a walking 10-count, we mosey a bit until we reached that guy again and stopped for 15 big bois. Mosey again and almost reached him again for another 15 BBSUs at the right turn in the path. Mosey again to the library for another 15 BBSUs. Almost out of time so we headed down Fouts and turned into the park at the same parking lot we explored last week from the other direction. We did some step-ups for the six (I got at least 100 using Speedo math) and then we mosey down the hill to the splash pad pavilion for 30 dips. Back to the flag for some monkey humpers and bonnie blairs before time was called.

COT:

A reminder of what 1st F, 2nd F, and 3rd F mean in our vernacular. 2nd F at Mater's place on Saturday at 6 pm. RSVP via Slack so he knows how many filet mignons to buy. Prayers for Postal's son as he recovers (physically and psychologically) for another injury that will keep him on the IR for a bit. Praise for YHC celebrating 32 years of marriage soon.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

The youngest guy at Second Watch this morning was 47. Earlier this week, we were led by a 12-year-old. Last week we had a 50-something and a 20-something FNG. A few weeks ago, we welcomed a 78-year-old Marine as an FNG.

F3 is for every man.
Not just the fast ones.
Not just the fit ones.
Not just the ones trying to lose 20 pounds or lead the pack.

It’s also for the quiet ones—the guys who don’t say much in a circle of sweaty men.
It’s for the ones carrying burdens too heavy to name, wondering if they’ll ever feel whole again.
It’s for the men who know they need something but don’t yet know it’s this.

F3 is the gift that keeps on giving—physically, mentally, and spiritually—if you’ll let it.
And that’s why I keep coming back.
