AO: Boneyard

When: 2025-06-06

QIC: Liquor

PAX (10): Daisy, FannyPack, Floater, Irene, Liquor, Mounty, Shrimp, Stifler (Jeff Levy), Brownie, GlowStick

Preamble:

81 years ago today was D-Day, the largest amphibious invasion in the history of warfare. An inflection point in WW2. On this day, I think about the sense of selflessness, service, duty and courage those men of the Allies showed storming the beaches of Normandy. We are all here today because of the sacrifice those men made. So the PAX of the Boneyard, did a beatdown to honor those men and this day.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey around and did butt kickers and high knees.
  • 15 SSH
  • 10 Hill Billies
  • 10 Windmills (I'll make sure to slow down my counting for this exercise, next time)
  • 10 Weedpickers
  • Arm Circles (OYO)
  • 10 Michearl Phelps (OYO)

The Thang:

We partnered up and did a DORA. The following exercises corresponded to a place of significance on D-Day. While the PAX did the exercise, the mode of transportation to the red light I placed on the lacrosse field was Farmer Carry (for exercises without a cinder) and Murder Bunnies (exercises with a cinder). The exercises are as follows:
  • Pre D – Day Airborne Drop = 200 Carolina Dry Docks
  • Omaha Beach = 100 Merkins
  • Gold Beach = 100 Coupon Squats
  • Juno Beach = 100 Coupon Deadlifts
  • Utah Beach = 100 American Hammers
  • Sword Beach = 100 Coupon Sholder Press
  • Pointe du hoc = 200 Ranger Merkins
Afterwards, went back to the flag and did 10 burpees. Then did a round of Mary till time was called.

COT:

Prayers for Fanny Pack's since his mother-in-law passed away. Prayers for Irene daughter's surgery.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

An excerpt from Supreme Allied Commander, General Dwight D. Eisenhower: "You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hope and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine...Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well-trained, well-equipped, and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely."
