Preamble:

The early morning hours never seem to affect the PAX of F3. Show up at any BD, at any time of day and you are going to find energy, dedication, and hard work. When I rolled into the Rubicon parking lot at 0140 that's exactly what I found.

Warm-O-Rama:

YHC experienced a timing and BT challenge that caused an entirely too long period of silence. It almost felt like an Avis Q without the extreme burpees.
Music eventually was delivered.
warm-up - (Hu at least the plan was to WU TO HU a little Mongolian throat music)
  • SSH: IC 20x
  • Dynamic Lunges: Step forward, twist your torso, alternate sides IC 10x (a new one and anytime you two something new it needs a little refinement this one did for certain)
  • Arm Swings: IC 20x
  • Leg Swings: IC 20x SKIPPED
  • Mountain Climbers: IC 10x
Enough WU time for the THANG!

The Thang:

Since we are celebrating the 10th anniversary why not do sets of ten? Of course the PAX gave the Q grief about is this really a zero point zero? They know YHC enjoys running and they just could not believe that YHC would deliver on at true 0.0. Let's find out. The board was turned and shouts of joy could be heard as YHC explained the thang.

TENS!

  2. 10 Freddy mercury
  3. 10 mercan taps
  4. 10 J-LO
  5. 10 Mike Tysons
  6. 10 Superman freeze (10 second hold release 2 seconds)
  7. 10 box cutters
  8. 10 side leg lifts (yes each leg 10x that's what ALPHA means)
  9. 10 Carolina Dry Docks (slow controlled full motion feet shoulder width)
  10. 10 Alabama Prom Dates (full motion try to go upon toes with each thrust BAMA girls appreciate this I understand)
Once you finish one set repeat 9 more times. The goal is ten for ten. It's the tenth anniversary after all. Note: The goal of any exercise is to get stronger to maintain body health and increase fitness level. Focus on form and controlling the exercise all the way through As we moved through the exercises the pax started mumbling about a little run or mosey would be nice even for a 0.0. (I'll remember that for YHC's next BD). Soon enough, a little reprieve arrived when the song by  P.0.D. Youth of the nation started playing each PAX would owe 1 burpee otherwise SSH or air squat. All in, over 20 burpees each would be due and paid (otherwise the PAX would be on burpee debt for YHC's next Q). Resume your TENS. The grumbling stopped after this. More than likely because no one could catch their breath at this point. AND time!

Just thankful to be out and together. Ready for the 0300 BD!!
