Preamble:

Beautiful morning, weather is PERFECT.  Floater and Busboy were working on an FNG but it wasn't meant to be today.  Great crowd at the Rubicon this morning.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the rock pile and get a medium-large coupon.  Take it down to the FOD and leave it at the 1st base line for now.  Circle up for SSH, imperial walkers, windmills, 5 burpees, arm circles, michael phelps, and world's greatest stretch.

The Thang:

  • YHC couldn't find the frisbee for Whamo lunge walks, so instead we lunge walked to the outfield and did 21's.  We missed the first two tries and got a 5 burpee concession prize after each.  Nailed it on the third attempt.
  • Mosey to the long wall at the concession stand for BTTW last man standing.  When you drop, go straight to wall sit.  Special K dominated the competition.  The wall is filing harassment charges against Floater.
  • Mosey back to the FOD and stop right inside the gate.
    • Question: How will we get all the way back to the first base line where we left our coupons?
    • Answer: The most fun way imaginable.  Roller Coaster Tracks all the way back to 1st base.  Space out along the foul line, with PAX alternating high plank and low plank down the line.  The man in the back goes over and under all the way to the other end & then joins the line.
  • Back at the coupons, pair up for an upper-body Dora.  Partner runs the bases in between.
    • 50 Skull Crushers
    • 100 Curls
    • 150 OH press
  • Circle up for Jack Webb, Merkin:Airpress, 1:4, 2:8,...10:40.
    • Lumbergh tried to mutiny but I quashed the rebellion.
  • Lap around the big field.
  • Circle up for Captain Thor, BB:American Hammers, 1:4, 2:8,...10:40.
    • Made it up to 4 ish & headed back to the flag.

COT:

We try to take care of the parks where we work out.  This morning, the lights at the FOD turned on as we started.  And as we left the field, they shut off.  At the end of the BD, the maintenance guy came over to our circle on his gator- I let him know it wasn't us turning them on and off.  His response was pretty great - he turned them on and off for us!!  Then he told us if we want to use them, the code is 2100 & just make sure we turn them off afterwards.  Guys, we've come a long way from getting kicked out of our 1st AO location (Newtown Park) 10 years ago to now, having the support of the grounds crew.  Let's keep taking great care of these parks and building the goodwill!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Thanks for a great morning- some hard work, some laughs, lots of encouragement for the day.  Always a pleasure to lead.
