Getting Comfortable

Preamble:

-Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable

This was the preamble YHC posted the day before. A plan was slowly coming together and by the end of Saturday’s Nirvana BD, there would most definitely be some men Getting Comfortable 🙂

5 for the pre-ruck, 1 for the pre-run and 10 total for the main event.

During the welcome YHC explained that everyone would start the day with 100 Burpees in their “bucket” but there would be quizzes and competitions throughout the morning to potentially take off 5 burpees each time.

Warm-O-Rama:

First team competition was a straight knowledge question pertaining to the night before’s activities on the Milton campus.

Milton Football Score?? And their opponent in the championship game.

Answers: 56-28 & Langston Hughes (Team with Pushback and Special K nailed it).

Competition #2
Fireman Carry for time to third bus and back.
Pushback/Dosi vs NSU/Santa Claus…..NSU & S. C. won by about .035 seconds!

The Hill for 7’s with run in between.
Lunges/Merkins

Competition #3 with 2 per team at the hill
One Burpee bottom, 2 Burpee‘s top, 3 Burpee‘s bottom, 4 Burpee‘s top, 5 Burpee‘s bottom.

Shortcake/Sweeper vs. Turkey/Santa Claus
*Shortcake almost died….but it was close with Turkey and S.C. on top!

Slowsey to stadium and did whole round up/down with 1 burpee at top and bottom

Competition #4 at the 50:
Every man Bear Crawl to 30 then sprint to Goal Line. Team with three finishing first wins!

*Can’t remember who won this one but it wasn’t Woody’s team.

Mosey back to flag with combination of Mary, Burpees, Plank while cold plunge was set-up. That’s right the men were so excited that Sweeper was in the cold plunge before 8 am even hit. YHC also failed to mention that those who didn’t take the plunge, had to finish their remaining burpees.

COT:

Prayers lifted up for those in need and those pax missing, with illness or just needing TAP’s.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

A fun-filled beat down with some hard work and determination sprinkled in for sure. A great way to end the morning taking the cold plunge as 7 out of the 10 did it.

This may become a monthly thing for the men of Nirvana!
