Signed up to Q after seeing a BBQ prize was at stake. Little did I know I'd be leading on the day of the feast. Let's pre-burn some calories.


With some pax coming in hot, we started the disclaimer and were off. Mosey behind the cinema for:

The Thang:

Repurposed a beat down from last week with some modifications to fit this AO's layout and to fit my desire to not do any more burpees this week. It was an down-up escalator with a run around the path after every exercise. See pic for more details but here's what we did.
  • 100 squats + run
  • 90 single-count lunges + run
  • 80 monkey humpers + run
  • 70 HR merkins + run
  • 60 dry docks + run
  • 50 dips + run
  • 50 BBSUs + run
  • 60 shoulder taps alpha + run
  • 70 LBCs + run
  • 80 flutters single (due to time) + run
  • 90 freddies single + run
  • 100% of circle bear crawl
Gazelles were asked to finish the exercises that were supposed to be alpha but were switched to single. I'm questioning my sanity for picking bear crawls to end with but it was a tough workout for me overall. We made it back to the flag in time for a slightly extended round of gas pumpers before time.

This format needs some tweaking and I appreciate the feedback from the guys who offered it. The format was a remake of something I did at Gladiator last week. That workout was a shamelessly plagiarized version of something I read on another AOs backblast. Not everyone likes doing backblasts but they can serve an extended purpose and provide motivation to guys in the future. Thanks for taking my lead and for only complaining a few times about the music. I should have started with the playlist we ended with. Live and learn. --Speedo out
