PAX (8): jugdish, Omaha, Snowman, Spit Valve, Vanna, Cork, Hozel and One Hit were present as well. One Hit was visiting from Macon F3.
Vanna was celebrating 53 turns around the sun, so hosted a BDBD (birthday beatdown).
SSH, Good Mornings, Willie Mays Hays and Bat Wings.
We moved from one lamppost to the next around Sharon Spring Park. At each one, we stopped to do exercises. The count was 5-7-9-11-9-7-5, totaling 53 reps of each exercise. We started at the first lamp post and did 5 burpees, moved to the next lamp post and did 7 burpees, moved to the next lamp post and did 9 burpees, etc.
The mode of transportation was an audible by the PAX and included karaoke, wheel barrow, broad jumps, bear crawls, crab walks, etc.
After completing the 53 burpees (across 7 lamp posts), we moved to alpha count Bonnie Blairs. After completing Bonnie Blairs, we moved to Diamond Merkins and due to time, we were only able to get through the 9 Diamond Merkins before we ran back to the flag.
As an aside, if time had permitted, we would have moved on to cadence-count Freddie Mercuries.
A few concerns were raised and we will continue to put Lyla, Cindy and Snowman's MIL in our prayers.
"This Too Shall Pass" is not only a reminder to keep going when things aren't going well, but also a friendly reminder to take inventory when things are going well and enjoy those times and be grateful. When you are going through those tough/dark times, remember you don't need to go through them alone; when you are in the time of life where things are going well, make sure you are extending your hand to help those in need.
