It’s Halloween tonight, so we need to prepare for the main event: Trick-or-Treating.
Quick greeting, disclaimer, and chat on other unnamed AOs before a mosey around the Academy to warm-up. Circle-up in a field to the side of the school for SSH, Weedpickers, Copperhead Squats, Imperial Walkers, Arm Circles, and COVIDs.
While the arms were flailing, YHC reviewed our upcoming activities. YHC placed bags of goodies around Downtown Alpharetta for our (Pax) Trick-or-Treaters to gather goodies from. Unlike tonight though, the goodies were selections from the exicon instead of candy. After hitting half of the “houses” we’d gather on the green to share our treats before continuing on to the Tower of Terror and more Trick-or-Treating.
YHC made 4 types of “Goodie” bags:
5. Heels to Heaven
6. Freddie Mercuries
1. HR Merkins
2. Ranger Merkins
3. Wheel of Merkins (KING SIZE)
5. Peter Parker Merkins
6. Diamond Merkins
1. Jump Squats
2. Split Squats
3. 1-legged Squats
4. 1-legged Donkey Kicks
6. 2-legged Donkey Kicks
Bag o’ Burpees
2. Kraken Burpees
3. Wolverine Burpees
4. Prisoner Cell Merkin Burpees
5. Burpee Broad Jumps
6. Body Builder Burpees
The 5 Pax in attendance picked one from each bag and happily shared their candy on the green. Without @Avis presence, no one was excited about the Bag o’ Burpees, but we knocked them out anyone.
After eating all of the “goodies” we needed a break from the treats, so we headed to the library parking deck for the Tower of Terror: 25 single count Mountain Climbers at each 1/2 level, all the way to the top. After a quick pic at the top, we headed for the stairs to continue our trick or treating, but changed course after finding not one, but two homeless people in two stairwells. Giving up on the stairs, we ran down the deck and resumed trick-or-treating at the library.
After gathering our last treats, we mosey’d back to Academy and performed as many reps as we could before time.
Quick circle up, count-off, and name-o-rama.
New AO launching tomorrow on the same grounds as Academy.
Blood Drive 12/22 (Friday). I’ve taken over Blood Drive Q duties from Dipstick, so be on the lookout for more info and announcements.
Convergence at Perimeter Church 11/11 hosted by the Hooch.
Prayers for those traveling and those in need.
Thank you all for coming out and having me for my 1st Academy Q after many delays. I’ll be back in November for those that missed out.
As always, it was an honor to lead.
