Head over to the pool parking lot for a normal, but quick warmup.
We moseyed to the field of dreams for a game of Capture the Flag, probably the 8th time I’ve Q’d it, but first at Rubicon in at least a year or two.
CAPTURE THE FLAG
-on each side there is a Children at Play sign that would need to be knocked down to score a point
-each PAX had a pool noodle (regular pool noodle cut in half)
-field is setup short and wide with a designated middle line
-offense is in bear crawl mode, defense in crab walk
-as soon as you cross mid field you become offense and can be tagged by the defense with their noodle
-on the defensive side, you are safe from getting tagged
-when tagged, stand up and do 3 squats, then run back to your side
-when a goal is scored, losing team does 3 burpees while other team does SSH
HALFTIME DORA: Lap, then 50 burpees, 100 squats, 150 LBC
-Team 1 was down 3 goals and YHC decided to mix up 2 players to see if we could even it up a little
-after a few goals from Team 1, we found ourselves running out of town with a tie game
-YHC called "next goal wins" and despite some bickering and complaining, one anonymous team finally scored to become triumphant (I'm pretty sure YHC and MillerTime were on both winning teams...just sayin )
Fun to see the competitive juices flowing today. It's what men do. Praise was offered for the ability to get out in the gloom and laugh around with our brothers.
Announcements included the Fall Convergence on 11/11 at Perimeter Church, the NLB breakfast on 12/2 and SantaRuck on 12/9. There is also a Beer Ruck planned at Windjammer on Sunday Nov 19 at 1pm.
Parking lot coffeeteria followed.
