PAX (8): Avis, Chalupa, Ollie, Rusty, Switch, The Real Woody, The_OG Zima
YHC likes to jump on BA’s Q sheet from time-to-time and hadn’t forgotten that he owed the Badapple crew a better Q after forgetting music on the last iteration. With a solid Rush playlist in tote and a fellow Wreck/Hogwallow PAX to co-Q, he made sure the BA PAX were good with some rowdy tunes in advance (more on that later).
Zero mosey and stay in the parking lot for the following warm-ups:
YHC schemed with Switch to plan a BD and opted to fill the first 20min with some coupons and backwards hill work, as follows:
Starting at the bottom of Zima’s hill, 4 PAX would start farmer-carrying coupons uphill while the remaining 4 PAX perform 5 Burpees.
Burpee’ing PAX would run forward to pick up any PAX of their choosing to switch roles.
All PAX had to run down to pick up the 6 and perform 5 Burpees before relieving a farmer-carrying PAX.
Q doled out proper instructions before cranking some fine Canadian tunes (after getting advance clearance) – this was all fine and good until the volume soared past 5, at which point the BA PAX made it clear that they didn’t want to get booted from yet another starting location. Point observed and taken.
Solid work by all PAX in this portion of the BD – rinse and repeat the above for 4’ish rounds until Q turned things over to Switch. Oblivious to the fact that we had all done around 40-50 Burpees (and perhaps hoping his Dora partner would carry him), Switch called for the following:
Choose a partner for some Dora 100/200/300 (Burpees, Shrugs, LBC’s).
Partner A performs the exercise at the top of the hill while Partner B runs to the tree at the bottom of the hill and back.
Early finishers rinse/repeat while waiting on the six.
With T-8 left on the clock, Chalupa knew exactly what was coming – partner wheelbarrows down the parking lot. Each partner would wheelbarrow for 5 parking spaces, alternating turns until PAX made it the full length of the middle parking lot and back.
Two minutes left for Mary before time was called:
TAPS for Sprocket in dealing with the passing of his father.
TAPS for Goose who is undergoing oncology treatment.
Please donate to Goat’s fundraiser (full Triathlon).
Great to catch up with our Roz PAX from another AO. Need to make this a regular occurrence.
