A muggy morning, represented by a faithful group of 5, as the NLB guys had a late night of baseball and fireworks. Training Wheels was the sole representative of NLB. Yellowstone was on the bacon and eggs this morning, so he had an excused absence.
Typical warmup including my favorite Good Mornings. All work was done on the court.
Voldemort – 1 Burpee x 4 SSH’s, progressing to 2 Burpees x 8 SSH, all the way to 10. Totalling 55 Burpees and 220 SSH.
7 of Diamonds – Merkens, Wall Step Ups, Backwards Run up the hill, Squats, Dips back on the wall. Reps of 7, 14, 21, 28 – we stopped at 28 (normally go back down 21, 14, 7). Backward runs followed by the Squats was appreciated by all.
Wrapped up with Six Minutes of Mary: LBCs Flutter Kicks, LBCs, Dollies, and 21 American Hammers keeping with the theme of 7.
Prayers of thankfulness (and recovery) for Training Wheels’ whose wife had a surprise and successful triple bypass last week, and is still recovering in the hospital. Thank goodness God knew that 6 Flags over Father’s Day was not a good idea and gave them two flat tires to slow them down.
Prayers for my wife (Sheila) as she lost her mother last night, who had been battling with her health for a long time and is now in peace.
Continued prayers for all the men at NLB and all our brothers that we love one another and live according to Christ’s example.
Grateful to be able to workout in the morning with our brothers, and an honor to lead the workout.
