YHC had a plan for this morning, but a solo Pre-Ruck (Nacho did a solo pre-run) brought me to a rarely used area outside of the park itself and so a quick modification followed. For times’ sake I had to abandon a Mini-Thang so that we’ll have enough time for the main Thang. That mini thang will not be forgotten, though. There’s always another Q.
Plans are useless, but Planning is essential –Eisenhower
After a quick disclaimer the music was turned on and we started a long mosey up and across the baseball fields, down toward the tennis fields, in between the woods through a small dirt trail that brought us back to the gravel trail and near the park’s exit. From there we existed the park, crossed the street and run through a short trail toward Lake Windward Elementary School. Coincidentally, the first song in the playlist also (finally) ended.
Circled up for some Weed Pickers and OYO baby arm circles and covids.
We partnered up. YHC would call out an exercise with relatively high number of reps. the first pair to finish will start doing Bropees – loudly and for show. The second pair to finish will call recover and everyone stops.
We started with something simple – 200 SSH (for a pair, not per person).
Continued with the following (not necessarily in the order below):
Mucho Chesto – 30 each (regular, diamond, wide, stagger and stahger)
150 Big Boy Sit-ups
100 Appolo Ohno’s alpha count
75 Freddie Mercury and 75 Flatter Kicks, both alpha
100 Dips – one PAX at a time. The other runs a short loop
100 Thigh Slappers, alpha count (feet on bench, derkin position. Slap left thigh then right. that’s one) – one PAX at a time. The other runs a short loop
100 Squats and 100 Monkey Humpers
100 Donkey Kicks
100 LBCs – one PAX at a time. The other does BTTW.
100 Overhead Clap in people’s chair position against the wall
Every 3 rounds or so we run a victory lap in the parking lot.
On the way back YHC wanted to take the longer route, but realized it won’t work. We backtracked and went the more direct route.
Nacho Libre has not been to the Widowmaker in quite some time, and was hoping we’ll pass through. Every time the trail had an option to go toward the hill he hoped this would be it. Here we will turn. Alas, there was no time and YHC led the pax straight toward the flag, where we had but a minute to do some Box Cutters.
Funyun shared about a friend of his.
YHC shared that I’m currently it a good place at work and at home and I have a lot to thank F3 for it. The group carried me through hard times and helped me grow to be a leader in my home so that we may enjoy good times as well.
Nacho’s story continues:
TMI saw his distress and after the COT offered to run with him to the top of the hill and back, which they did.
