Fun Fact Tuesday. Some of the best advice for enduring physical exhaustion I received from a a buddy at camp. He was a really fast cross country runner that admitted that the hard runs didn’t hurt any less, but he was able to the withstand the urge to quit by thinking about anything other than the pain he was enduring. You can’t think of nothing, or you usually end up thinking about your current circumstances. So think of random useless information, like why NASCAR drivers only turn left (it dates back to bootlegging during Prohibition, when apparently drivers mainly turned left to avoid the law…who knew?), and usually you will get through it, and hopefully think “that wasn’t so bad, let’s go again!”
Due to lightning, we improvised in the parking deck after YHC got stuck in a part of the deck with no exit. Thankfully the Q recovered and the pain ensued.
