On Wednesday, a pre-blast was given stating we will be doing something a little different for the beatdown. In preparation, the following items were loaded into my vehicle.
4 Five-gallon water jugs
4 6X6X10 pressure-treated posts
6 cinder blocks
Coffee and water
All these items were stashed at the library for the PAX to enjoy after a short mosey. Thanks to Brownie for assisting me with staging the cache.
No FNGs this morning, so an abbreviated disclaimer was given and we were off. Side shuffle and Bernies were mixed in with our mosey to the first intersection where we performed squats while we waited on some stragglers. We eventually made it to the cheese grater where we did:
Word’s greatest stretch
At the library, the PAX was divided up into two teams. Each team would carry two 10-foot posts, two water jugs, and 3 cinders all the way back to the base of the hill where the playground area is located on the left. The person carrying the two water jugs was instructed to take 40 steps and then hand off the jugs to someone else. Everyone rotated carrying cinders, jugs, and posts as the teams worked their way back to the park.
Once we reached the base of the hill, we started with elevens. This time the PAX was divided into 4 teams. Each team had a post and a cinder to carry during the elevens. We started with one burpee at the bottom of the hill, and then carrying the post or cinder, performed 10 squats at the top of the hill. Rinse and repeat until 11s were complete. I think we were able to get to 6 burpees and 5 squats, then we had to call it.
The PAX gathered up all the jugs, cinders, and posts and returned to the flag.
