Got the text last night that our Q was down & out for the count…torn calf muscle. Never had that happen before, but I hear it has a 0 star rating and that it is not recommended. Prayers for you Milli, we hope you have a fast road to recovery. This one’s for you.
Well wouldn’t you know, not a raindrop during our pre-run, and torrential downpour as we mosey to the dam. Oh well, got my trusty covered spot under the tree that Stu bestowed upon me, so I stood under there….I shared with Townie, it was a little tight with two non-medium dudes, but we made due. Didn’t feel any rain the whole Warm-o-Rama…hmmm, it must have stopped.
Arm Circles OYO
Let’s mosey back to the parking lot….wait, it’s raining again!
The rain stopped just as we were getting to the middle of the parking lot for a 4-corners with a choose your own adventure twist:
We designated each corner with 100 reps of the following:
Heels to Heaven
You can do the corners in any order and any amount each time, but each time you run through the middle, you must do 10 calf raises for Milli. You can also choose to do as many burpees as you want in the middle. For every 5, you can remove 10 reps from any corner of your choosing.
The group finished fairly quickly, so we went to the nice, nair-smooth, soft token (coupon) pile. Each PAX grabbed a coupon and circled up.
I immediately threw them all for a loop and told them to move 2 tokens to the left. Someone found a pebble and brought it to the circle, we gotta audit those Jacksonville guys and see what they are doing down there…
15 Overhead Press
Move 1 token to the right and repeat. After that, 1 more token to the right so you’re back at your original choice and repeat.
Mosey back to the flag….uh oh, the flag had fallen. 10 Burpee penalty OYO to finish us out for time.
Prayers for Milli Vanilli as he finds out about his calf.
Prayers for Walkie Talkie’s father who was released from the care facility, but still a bit weak.
Blood Drive June 2.
Great 6th Man from Caroline. Talk about an accountability guy, he’s been the definition of consistent. Great having you in the group!
I heard the F3 Cumming guys are quite soft when it comes to rain (don’t blame me, that’s just what a little snowbirdie told me), so it was great to see the group not even hesitate (they do complain though). By the end though we’re all glad we did it. That’s with most things in life however, you don’t want to initiate the change or start the hard thing, but once it’s done you feel the relief and it ended up not being as bad as your stupid brain made you think it would be. Get comfortable being uncomfortable, life’s more fun if you do.
