PAX (11): Avis, Cookie, Cox, Devito, Focker, Lil Hurt, lumbergh, No-See-Um, Red Ryder (D Mack), Shazam
It was time for another round of Name That Tune, this time featuring TV theme songs. Would Shazam get every song before anyone else had a chance or would we do burpees all morning?
Quick mosey to the rock pile to grab a coupon, then to the Pavilion for:
YHC brought out a playlist of 19 TV theme songs for another round of Name That Tune. Due to the length of some songs, we had a slight variation this time.
PAX counted off and split up into two teams as most tried to position themselves to end up on Shazam’s team.
Each time a song was played the first PAX to name the correct TV show, assigned an exercise to be performed by the losing team for the duration of the song. Winning PAX could also choose the exercise to be performed by the winning team. If no one could name the tune, all PAX did burpees until someone was able to come up with the correct answer.
We quickly found out that burpees were the most fun exercise to hand out. But after a bit, we started getting a bit more variety including: Thrusters, Dips, Diamond Merkins, Derkins, Skull Crushers, Curls, Box jumps, Jump Squats, to name just a handful. Avis also liked to choose Burpees for his team if he got the answer correct.
All songs were answered correctly, even the deep cuts (with a hint or two every now and then). There was no Beaches soundtrack this time for Cox, although Shazam did answer The Golden Girls theme song correctly. Correct answers were pretty evenly distributed. Shazam did get his fair share, but never count out Lil Hurt, No-See Um, Avis, Focker, and most all PAX.
PAX got through all 19 songs with just enough time to deposit coupons and mosey back to the flag for COT.

Truth nugget was given by Shazam about just “Doing the Work” and not stressing over the small things that you can’t control.
Always a pleasure to lead. I was finding so many great TV themes to play that I already having Vol. 2, so I’ll have to do that soon. Also, had a Cookie request for some 90’s One-hit Wonders, so maybe we’ll work on that next.
