This Day In History

March 22, 1934 – Does anyone know what happened today in 1934?  The very first Masters was played at Augusta National.  Who won the inaugural Masters Tournament?  If you get it right – you hand out 5 burpees.  Wrong, you take ‘em

Milli Vanilli – Sam Snead.  Wrong.  Walkie Talkie – Ben Hogan.  Wrong.  5 Burpees!

Horton Smith won with scores of 70-72-70-72.

Mosey to the dam.

SSH’s, Weed picker, Imperial Walkers, Covids, Arm Circles.  False Start to lead a set of Mountain Man Poopers

5 Floating Ducks OYO.  (Floating Ducks are a Burpee with a holding 5 count on the bottom of the Mercan.)

The Thang:

  • We fell short of completing the full escalator up & down so return coupons and mosey back to flag.  5 more Floating Ducks and a round of Box Cutters led by Walkie Talkie to wrap us up…AND TIME.

Prayers up for NRA’s Mom who is recovering from surgery.

Potential Bar-B-Ruck or Ruck-a-Q to Jekyll Brewery in the Spring – perhaps May timeframe.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Today marks roughly the 3 year anniversary of my EH into F3 world (Thanks for staying on me, Cookie).  Had it not been for the lockdown keeping me from traveling, I may have never started.  As a kid, I struggled with weight my entire life.  Always yo-yo’ing up and down.  I even had to run the hills of Windward in sweat suits in the summer to cut weight for Pop Warner football in 6th grade.  After getting married, I was weighing in at a beefy 260 Lbs.  Once we decided to start a family I finally got my act together by eating healthier and working out more.  While I’m still not quite at my “goal weight” or pant size (thanks for everything you do for me BEER), I’m down to 208 and F3 is a major reason.  It’s all about the journey, not the destination and I enjoy this journey with my brothers at the Windjammer so much.  Aye, men!  Always honored to lead this great group.
