We took a slow and longer mosey around City Center to see how long till any restaurant would open up. Hint – it’ll be a while. We discovered someone setup exercise ladders at the picnic tables. A few warmups to get our shoulders loose and for Whiz to teach Happy Tree how to start an exercise. Hushpuppy had sent me the directions – I just struggled putting together the words and the reality when you’ve got a group of guys ready to exercise.
It was time for partnering up to make the merkins easier and for everyone to realize why we stopped at the picnic tables. 10 descending, 10 straight and 10 ascending merkins while your partner held your legs in the air. Your rest time between those consisted of holding a plank while your partner used your legs as the coupon for the shoulder presses, bent over rows and squats. In between each of the 3 rounds including a run around the picnic area.
We then took an easy mosey to the amphitheater and did step ups, anton ohno’s and back extensions.
Great workout by all and they were all gracious for my first foray into queuing.
