I have been curious about how good of a job AI could do at coming up with a good full body workout. Using ChatGPT I created a workout that with some minor modifcations for timing was a pretty good beatdown. At the very least it can be useful for providing a spark of creativity to help get your ideas together. I also had the bot write the backblast below (mostly anyway)


We started with a quick mosey around the track to get the blood flowing, followed by dynamic stretching that included imperial walkers, sun gods, moon gods, torso twists, and good mornings.

The Thang:

Thang 1

  • ROUND 1 – SSH: set of 15 reps
  • Squats: set of 15 reps
  • Merkins: set of 15 reps
  • Mosey around the track (Repeat 3x)
  • ROUND 2 – Lunges: set of 12 reps (per leg)
  • Low Plank: set of 30 seconds
  • Freddie Mercury: set of 20 reps (per side)
  • Mosey around the smaller loop (Repeat 3x)
  • ROUND 3 – Burpees: set of 10 reps
  • Mosey around the small loop (Repeat 3x)

(Thang 2 – added by YHC – we went to the stairs to do a round of Everest going up and coming back down – lunges at the landings – Then a little bit of mary at the end)

We pushed ourselves to complete all the sets with proper form and encouraged each other to keep going. The burpees and lunges were particularly challenging, but we kept at it.



We closed out the workout with a circle of trust (COT) where we shared our goals and challenges for the week ahead. We encouraged each other to stay committed to our fitness goals and to support one another in achieving them.
