TCLAPS to Red Ryder for reaching out to the Bound to schedule this special edition Saturday beatdown with breakfast to follow. YHC had houseguests in town and stayed up too late, so no pre-run for me. Pulled in at 6:25a and lots of pre-runners and pre-pre runners emerged. 6:30a with the sun coming up, quick disclaimer and off into the not so gloomy gloom we went.



Head across the street for a few oldies but goodies like SSH, Imperial & Weedpicker. Circle up for a Burpee Apocalypse (with a get out of jail free card). 10 burpees, then 9 burpees, all the way down to 1. Between each set YHC asked the PAX to recite the 5 core principles of F3 in order to skip a round. The PAX successfully answered all of them which helped them skip 5 rounds and save their arms and cardio for later.

Back to campus we went.

The Thang:

Head to the backside of Harden Hall where YHC’s car and Ha-Ha’s girlfriends were awaiting. But there was more. Ha-Ha also brought his big heavy girlfriends which we would use to punish the PAX who were not so lucky with their card selections. Grab a partner for a little St Paddy’s party.  With Irish tunes on, the PAX would send one partner to grab a card, if a club, they would be awarded the heavy carry item. If a Joker, the 60# bertha. Everything else you got to deduct from your total reps. For instance, if you drew a 7 of diamonds, you would deduct 7 from the merkins and complete 93 cumulative with your partner. Then 1 partner would grab a girlfriend and run a short loop while their partner would run a long loop. Plank when you return for your partner then start another round. The goal was to get through the exercises two times, but nobody was able to.

Great group today. 2 FNG’s Baby G and Balboa.  Lots of pre-runners and 28 strong not including Red Ryder who coordinated and picked up the Chick-fil-A breakfast, which consisted of biscuits, minis and burritos.  The NLB guys who did not post certainly had FOMO when we came inside to join them for coffee. We got a few more HC’s for future beatdowns. A few announcements included Get’R done run on Saturday March 25.  Great conversations were had over breakfast.
