Dadurday was the original plan but as the day approached the HCs with 2.0s were very minimal, so it was time to pivot to a back up plan, all was set…
The morning of PAX started rolling in and a very unexpected, but a pleasant surprise occurred, glitter made the trek to starting line for a pre-ruck. It was great to finally meet this true HIM. During the pre-ruck it was mentioned glitter only had ruck/hiking boots so a standard Beatdown was not recommended, and with that in mind and me having the Q it was time for one more pivot….ruck with pain stations, script kiddie edition. We got back to the pavilion in time for Ace to take care of a little something and for all the PAX to get to the BD, with 7AM fast approaching it was time for the fun to begin.
No warm up required, it was time to go and the disclaimer was given on the move.
We started the ruck
First pain stations was a suggestion of glitter that we should do Hand released merkins, so 10 hand released merkins done, it was a huge hit.
Back to the ruck
Next pain stations was 20 monkey humpers in front of the fire station, thanks for the suggestion Seaman!
Ruck then the next stop was one I know would be well received, so I had them do 5 Absolutions with ruck, on pavement, I am sure there were a few things muttered during the absolutions that made me glad we did not have any younger 2.0s around, I am looking at you Ace, lol.
Back to the ruck and once on perimeter road lightweight suggested a ruck mosey to the caution sign on the way to the high school, so who am I to say no to such a great suggestion, once we got past that we rucked to the high school, stopping to complete 20 reverse LBC and 20 bench press with the ruck.
That complete we rucked to the high school football field, and more fun with the ruck.
We then went to the end zone, bear crawled to the 20, Bernie Sanders to the other 20 then crawl bear to the other end zone, that was a bit harder than I thought but mission accomplished.
Next up, bleachers, and a nice walk up and down the stairs, with brief moment of PTSD, for lightweight due to a tumble on these same steps a few months ago.
A glance at my watch I noted it was time to head back, with minimal pain station stops, so on the way back we did another ruck mosey from the cation sign to the stop sign with Toadstool getting in a bit of a longer mosey, well done!
Next pain station was 25 curls using the ruck.
Rucked back to the fire station and did 10 more hand released merkins for the last pain station, for the BD.
Circled up at the pavilion for COT.
Total mileage for the morning was up for debate but it was around 6 miles, including the pre-ruck, so well done, men!
Pray request were mention and the acceleration point was basically there is power in your words especially when it comes to the things you say and think about yourself avoid the phrase I can’t…., use I will learn to… instead
Glitter added in a bit more to that and then it was time for the prayer, pic and coffeeteria
We finally got a post BD pic in after missing 2 at back to back Qs.
Coffeeteria was good and thanks again to Suarez for supplying the java.
Then it was time for PAX to start heading out for the day.
This BD was one that took a few redirects but it was a great one with a chance to meet Glitter, and I hope to have him visit again soon, thanks for another chance to lead and looking forward to the next gloom encounter.
