The theme is punk rock and I’m all about tabatas! To get the party started, YHC posted an AI-generated image on Slack of 20 punks exercising in a circle. Only 17 of us made it out on this rainy morning though. I debated moving the Circle of Punk under the shelter but used my better judgement and Stu’s advice and kept it in the elements.
Warm-o-rama consisted of the standard side straddle hops, weed pickers, imperial walkers, and arm circles.
After sending a few pax to get the girlfriends YHC forgot, we were ready to begin. The beatdown consisted of 10 stations in a circle. The pax spread out with 1-2 people per cone. Each cone had a different exercise (J-Los, Merkins, Jumping squats, Reverse lunges, Girlfriend curls, Overhead press, Calf raises, Burpees, Plank jacks, Bunny hops). At each station we did 6 rounds of 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off. After the 6th round we did a lap around the circle. With exactly 90 seconds remaining we all completed a full trip around the circle. Talk about precise planning (or sheer luck). With that we headed back to the flag.
