Q sheet needed some love and I needed so run a BD so the stars aligned for me to step up. Rain stopped an hour or so before we kicked things off, and that compelled me to pivot from the real baseball field to a homemade diamond with cones on the turf field.
8 guys who love the cold, music, and wheelbarrows showed up ready to rock.
Noting that most of our warmups are just exercises instead of actual stretches preparing the body, I’m trying to implement a few good ones:
Hillbilly (stretch lats and some other stuff I’m sure)
Scarecrows (open up the chest and shoulders at the same time)
On the field we had 4 cones each with a different exercise:
20 side plank dips
3 rounds, with each round having it’s unique way of getting from cone to cone:
Duck walks (brutal)
We then moseyed to the bottom of the hill and grabbed some coupons:
Bottom of the hill – 15 slow reverse curls
Top of the hill – 10 squat jumps
Bottom of hill – 15 slow reverse rows
Top of the hill – 20 big boys
Ran back to the flag for a bit of Mary and then time.
Prayers of thanks for Norm’s successful procedure and his recovery. Pusher was recently laid off and if you know of anyone in the pharma sales space, he’s your guy.
Let’s continue to lift each other, and those around us, up into positivity. Unfortunately our culture seems to feed on negative emotion and selfishness, but this isn’t the way towards a fulfilled life!
