50 degrees and clear, it was a perfect day for a Ratio of Pain beatdown. A few pre-runners came funneling in at 5:30 and after a quick disclaimer, we hit the gloom.
Run up to the guard shack and back twice doing buttkickers, high knees, backwards run and air press. Circle up at the bottom for SSH and weedpickers. YHC now announced that the rest of the beatdown would be 7 versions of a 1:4 ratio pain stations.
On campus we did the following:
Bonnie Burps (1 Burpee to 4 Bonnie Blairs) – rep count was 5/20
Captain Thor (1 Big Boy to 4 Hammers) – rep count was 7/28
Next we would head off campus for:
Lt Dan (1 squat to 4 lunges) rep count was 7/28
Squat Walkers (1 squat to 4 Imperial Walkers) rep count was 7/28
Head back to campus for:
Donkey Dans (1 merkin to 4 donkey kicks) rep count was 5/20
Alligator Crawls (1 alligator merkin to 4 bear crawls) rep count was 5/20
Jack Webb (1 merkin to 4 air press) rep count was 10/40
We finished up with 3 minutes of Mary all performed by NLB guys who are doing great with cadence
Lots of prayer requests were spoken. Please lift those up. YHC closed out by talking about how as men we all need this brotherhood in our lives. We all are human. We all struggle. Thankful for this group and grateful for the opportunity to workout with the NLB guys. Coffeeteria followed. Also TCLAPS to the Dawson/Cumming guys for leading a workout this past Saturday and bringing the guys breakfast, we heard the meal was the bomb.
