Grabbed the Q the night before. Was able to plan a beatdown but, alas, no soundtrack to accompany us.
I came for a pre-run but was 5 min late. Saw two cars in the parking lot. Later found out those were Miller Time and Hollywood that, much like Stroller the day before, opted to do an 8 mile run instead of working out with us. Is this a trend? A pandemic? Not sure.
Mosey in the parking lot with some side shuffles. Circle up for SSH, Windmills, World’s greatest stretch and Copper Head Squats.
Ring of fire:
Mosey to the Field of Dreams where the 9 of us (no sign of Miller Time and Hollywood at that time) divided into 5 groups. 1 group per base and 1 at the center.
Base #1 AMRAP No Surrenders
Base #2 AMRAP Peter Parker Merkins
Base #3 AMRAP Heels to Heaven
Base #4 AMRAP Makhar N’Diayes
At the center 10 Burpees, then replace group 1 which will replace group 2…
Rinse and Repeat for a total of 2 full rounds.
Recover Indian Run once around the field and off to take some coupons next to the pool.
Half and Half:
Partner up and take one medium to heavy coupon per partners. A group of 3 will take 2 coupons.
Each person does 20 Burpees. Half with the Coupon, half without. Switch with your partner.
This means 10 Burpees with no coupon and 10 with. Per person. For some reason this needed to be explained a few times but ultimately everyone got it.
Of course it wasn’t just Burpees. We also did 30 BBSU, 40 Squats, 50 alpha count Flatter Kicks and 60 Calf Raises. Always half with a coupon and half without.
When done we approached the pool building. PAX holding the coupon would Wall Sit, holding the coupon above their head. Their partner will do Mucho Chesto, 5 each (regular, diamond, wide, stagger, stagger) then switch. Rinse and Repeat. Put your coupons back in place.
Mosey back to the flag. All you’ve got in the parking lot. Miller Time and Hollywood joined us too. We did LBCs, Flatter Kicks, Box Cutters and a few Monkey Humpers.
Praises for PitStop who left his own party to ensure the safety of another person who should not have been driving, then EHing him successfully to F3.
Lumbergh’s wife facing some decision related to work.
Zohan’s neighbors dealing with a rough situation regarding their dog.
I hope it was fun and challenging today. I’m always open to hear feedback/criticism, beyond the standard “good Q”. Honor to lead the group!
