PAX (13): Cox, False Start, Funyun, Maytag, mike c (Brutus ), Townie, uga, Walkie Talkie, Zohan, Mayflower, Maytag, Short Sale
YHC found a set of car keys yesterday and seeing how possession is 9/10ths of the law, I picked up the Q. It has been a few weeks since I immersed myself in the Exicon and I’m overdue for a Q…so let’s see how this shoulder of mine holds up and have some fun on a Friday.
Great turnout for the week (28 PAX total) and let’s stick with the usual disclaimers, but please…do not sue Cookie’s golf clubs. And be careful with False Start’s motor oil…errrrrrr coffee.
Let’s mosey over to the damn and enjoy the view under the great American Flag we have here at the Windjammer.
Willie Mays Hays
And now…let’s head up towards the tennis courts.
As previously mentioned, YHC went deep into the Exicon to find something new….Searching by Routine has limited results so I printed all 8 pages worth and stumbled upon The Millenial.
No millenial jokes please…we’ll save those for when we crash the Grindstone and give Inseam the business.
The Millenial is about Teamwork. Teamwork as in we have 2,000 reps/meters to get through.
10 Exercises plus a 100m lap in between each round = 2,000. Funny Math and I like it.
Important Safety Tip before we begin…..first 9 rounds, when the first PAX reached 100 reps, we all run. This is a team effort and we stick together here.
Round 10…well, everybody does 100 (time permitting, of course).
Round 1 – SSH
Round 2 – Lunges
Round 3 – Merkins
Round 4 – LBCs
Round 5 – Mountain Climbers (A)
Round 6 – Flutter Kicks (A)
Round 7 – Arm Raises (overhead claps)
Round 8 – Squats (Short Sale was determined to get to 100 first and he did it!)
Round 9 – Dolly
Round 10 – Burpees
I believe it was round 2 when the first of the gloom booms began to appear. By round 4, some PAX were so enthralled when looking up at the sky, they began stargazing. New planets found, stars identified, and so began the Big Gloom Boom Theory. Aaaaaaah nature.
Sounds like a few PAX pushed 50+ on the burpees before time was called. Impressive!
Let’s head back to the Flag.
13 PAX made it today. Also…Impressive! Our numbers have been up recently thanks to several new to the group. We’ve been averaging 8 PAX ytd and this week has us trending in the right direction so let’s keep accelerating.
Announcement: 2nd F today…lunch at Sucheros.
Close it out with a quick prayer and let’s head on over to False Start’s rig where he served some caffeinated motor oil. You know….it wasn’t half bad.
Thanks to Zohan for his TNT/GrowRuck message. His commitment to F3 is well beyond an honorable mention. His passion for this is inspiring and appreciated so thank you, Zohan!
I appreciate all of you…the men of F3, especially this Windjammer Group.
The past few weeks (feels like months) I’ve incurred some old man injuries that continue to linger. It’s been a bit challenging to keep at it, but as False Start pointed out at coffeeteria today, we get up early to support each other and keep pushing forward. This push has kept me in the game, even if heavily modified at time, and I feel like I took a few steps in the right direction to get back to form. Always work to do, but I thank all of you for the comradery and entertaining beatdowns no one can do better than here at the Windjammer.
