Starting with 10 reps, Each PAX completed No Surrenders then sprint to the other sideline passing their partner. At the 50% point, each PAX completed (3) burpees. Continue No Surrenders with 8-6-4-2 reps, crossing each time with (3) burpees.
Recovery “Vision Quest” circle. Each PAX on their stomach in a circle, QIC started sprinting “over” each PAX until the end of the circle. Each PAX followed the circular route, finishing and immediately getting on their stomach for oncoming PAX.
*At this point, QIC lost his wedding ring (presumably from sprinting so fast). A crucial decision had to be made – search for the symbol of my marriage or continue with the beatdown. The beatdown must go on.
Mosey to street. 7s with Derkins (feet on the curb) bear crawl to other side of street and Elevated Merkins (hands on the curb). Crawl bear back.

Wanted to come up with a “theme” for the beatdown and reminisced about encouragement I had growing up participating in several sports. One particular coach I had would often emphasize to “Win the 50-50”. In those critical moments that are decisive in the final outcome, it’s usually the person who gives the “little extra” effort and perseveres. In those moments we grow and develop. Not only in sports, but in our relationships. Those critical decisions that we can make – spending time with wife/kids, getting up early to workout, reading or listening to God’s word. Each 50-50 situation is an opportunity to persevere and make an impact.
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12)
