Thang 1 – I know it’s week 1 of IPC so the PAX was a little burnt from Monday but have had a good day to recover and not everyone was present on Monday. I figured nothing like a Burpee Mile to get things kicked off. This stuff is always easier on paper . In theory very simple. 10 Burpees every 10th of a mile until we hit 100 and 1 mile of running. I could hear the mumble chatter in the background by round 3. Everyone is accountable for their own counts and we wait on the 6 to finish their Burpees before running the next 10th. You really begin the feel this one by the 6th or 7th round unless your Superman. We have a few of those HIM’S.
Thang 2 – Another simple exercise in theory until you try to perform it after a Burpee Mile. 🙂 Most of our PAX like to have a few beers every now and then so I figured a COLT 45 routine would be appropriate. A little confusion here so I don’t know if it was my explanation or the weariness from the mile run. 45 Reps of 3 exercises – Overhead Presses, Bent Over Rows, and Curls. Perform 45 of each and then run a lap we had picked out around the far island near the movie theater. Sounds pretty easy but we repeated this 3x because the PAX performed so well. Saved exactly 5 minutes for Mary!
BRR race this weekend. Pray for all the team’s safety and that they would have a great time.
Prayers for Dingy and his interview today
Prayers for Feathers Dad and praise for the negative Biopsy.
This one pushed the boundaries. I thought it might have been me because I’ve been a little tired, however, after hearing all the mumble chatter and speaking to the PAX afterward just realized this was just a good Ole fashion butt whipping. Grateful to this group and F3 in general who has helped us all to keep moving forward no matter how difficult a situation is or how much it might suck at the moment. We know the benefits will outway the pain in the end.
