A condensed disclaimer since we didn’t have FNGs. Mosey down the parking lot and some QB/CB foot work (running FW, sideways and backwards on the parking lot lines). Hillbillies, Copperhead Squats and Moroccan Night Clubs. Some more footwork the other way around.
Circle up inside the field. The inspiration for the main thang came from the QSource, built as Foundation with 4 Quadrants – Get Right, Live Right, Lead Right and Leave Right. The QSource is F3’s leadership manual and I found the teachings there to ring true for me. They are aligned with many philosophical and religious teachings I read over the years and organized smartly.
So we did 4 corners. After each corner run back to the middle for 5 Burpees.
Round 1 – 20 Merkins each corner.
Round 2 – 15 Big Boyz
Round 3 – 10 Imperial Walkers, alpha count
Round 4 – 5 Absolutions (start in a high plank, do a groiner, go to low plank, plank jack and go back to high plank).
That took longer than YHC thought it would and we had to skip the next thang.
Next Thang inspired by two lessons YHC learned – Acceleration and Persistence. Always strive to improve. The changes do not need to be big. Small improvements will accumulate over time to significant progress.
We lined up on the half field line, sprinted to the end line and did 10 No Surrenders in cadence. Rinse and repeat to complete 4 sets.
Mary was led in a rotating fashion. F3 teaches us to rely on our friends. Sometimes we lead, sometimes we let others lead. Need to surround yourself with people who share your mindset (not opinions or political views) and have similar goals.
The Mary included Dying Cockroach, LBCs, Pickle Pounders, Gas Pumpers and Box Cutters.

You’ve heard me saying this before – The last 5 years have been an amazing transformation for me. I saw improvements in every aspect of my life that I care about. I got better physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m leading my family better and I developed friendships after years of loneliness. I’m looking forward to the next year, the next 5, the next decade. I’m looking forward to sharing this with more men. THAK YOU all.
