You do you (then you do me)

AO: The Wreck

When: 06/29/2022

QIC: Moonshine

PAX (16): aflac, Bear, Cheeks, Countrywide, Cutie, Donor, Matt Shields-Norm, Meltdown, Moonshine, Sell-out, Shooter, Squeegee, Switch, Tubbs, Yankee, Tinker

YHC stepped up to take VQ Cheeks under his wing for a Co-Q and turn it into an impromptu Q-school for the entire PAX.

Quick mosey to the playground for extra-long disclaimer (we do live in a rather liturgical society, after all) followed by SSH, Week Pickers, Imperial Walkers, Michael Phelps, Roll call (with pull-ups and picnic table shrugs)

The Thang:

Quick mosey to the football field for a get-out-of-it-what-you-put-into-it experiment.  PAX partner up and face each other on the 5 yard line.  Then the PAX were asked to think of one area where they need physical improvement and pick a single exercise to work that one area.  Then back up 5 yards and do that exercise for 3 minutes (3 minutes of merkins seems like a good idea until you are 1 minute in and realize you are only 1/3 of the way done).  After 3 minutes meet back in the middle and switch with your partner, doing the exercise he picked for the next 3 minutes.  This went on for 5 rounds, switching partners for each round.

With time running out, the PAX did an Indian run back to the flag (1 minute late – my bad).

Continued prayer for many of the PAX with ailing relatives, especially those with elderly parents.

Happy Birthday to Cheeks!  Next time you Q solo!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

One of the primary functions of F3 is to foster male leadership in our community.  This workout was designed to analogize leadership growth.  A good first step to becoming a good leader is to realize something you need improvement on and figure out how to get better.  A good second step is to take what works from that step and find someone to share it with.  Another good second step is to see what works for others and ask them to share it with you.  Chances are, someone else needs to know what you learned, and you can learn from them as well.  We are in this together.  The final thought on this beatdown is that it was as hard or as soft as anyone wanted it to be.  Those that pushed for 10 rounds of 3 minute exercises are going to feel it in the morning.  From what I saw these guys came ready to work this morning.  As always, it was an honor to lead.
