Upon hearing that our group shouldn’t be dragging/pushing coupons on the pavement, YHC decided to go the couponless route this morning and institute “Burpee Day” for the Wreck. Also I know Juul’s love of burpees only rivals his love for ribs (ahem come Saturday).
Prior to 0530, an FNG calm walking up asking if we were the early morning workout group. Took some courage to walk up to a group of uglies like us that early in the morning but we welcomed him.
Moseyed to the parking lot by the fields for the following:
OH yeah, burpee day means start with 3 burpees
Then did the following:
Toy Soldiers x 10
Weed pickers x 10
Hill Billy x 10
Merkins in cadence x 10
Went over to the goaline, and instructed the pax to do a modified burpee broad jump (1 burpee, then 1 broad jump) down the field. Every 20 yards, the pax would do the following, adding an exercise every 20 yards:
20 stone mountains
40 big boys
80 shoulder taps
As YHC was the 6 and the Q, any pax down early was to bear crawl back down the field to the 20 yd, crawl bear to the 10, bear crawl to the 30, crawl bear to the 20… until the PAX arrived at the 50. Then do 50 burpees.
Once 6 was in finishing their SSH, YHC had pax sprint to the goalline, then mosey over to the play ground.
Burpee day fun continued, with a modified morning call that included 5 burp-ups on the pull up bar while the other pax were using the tables for shrugs.
After all were finished, pax were challenged to sprint to the end, where american hammers and 5 more burpees were finished.
Prayers for GM’s dad, Sellout’s mom, and all pax going through a challenging phase of life.
Welcome FNG Cheeks! heard about F3 from (if I recall) a brother or brother-in-law up in Forsyth.
Always fun to lead this group and do things together that I would never do at the house (like burpees). – Meltdown
