I’m trying to figure out who his partner is…

AO: Rubicon

When: 05/10/2022

QIC: False Start

PAX (13): Dipstick, False Start, FannyPack, Focker, Groundhog, Lil Hurt, lumbergh, McAfee, Moonshine, Pinkey, Red Ryder, Special K, Biohack (DR)

No takers for today, so I jumped in because it’s been a while at Rubicon.  Some down-rangers & neighboring region PAX (welcome!) so let’s show them different parts of the park.

Mosey over to the flagpole with the following on the way through the parking lot:

  • High Knees
  • But-kickers
  • Cariaoca left & right

Circle up around the flag for:

  • SSH
  • Hillbilly
  • Weedpicker
  • Windmill

Mosey to the track by the dog park.

The Thang:

The Thang #1

Wanted to get some running in this morning, so 4 laps around the track, with a stop at the narrow ends:  10x Burpees on one side and 10x Donkey Kicks on the other.

It was a quiet group today, not much talking, so let’s push them some more!

The Thang #2

Mosey over to the planters by the baseball fields.  10x Step-ups on the planters and then up the stairs to the snack bar for 10x jumping wall-taps.  Repeat 4 times.

Alright, keep moving!

The Thang #3

Grab a coupon & join in groups of 3.  Here’s how this goes:

  1. Partner 1 does curls, AMRAP
  2. Partner 2 does bent over rows at the opposite end of the parking lot, AMRAP
  3. Partner 3 rifle carries their coupon to the other partner and you keep switching

Somehow in the shuffle I didn’t end up with a group since we didn’t have the right number of PAX, so McAfee quickly called out there was no rhyme or reason to my walking back and forth.  He was right…

The Thang #4

We had a small amount of time left, so let’s get the heart rate back up.  Sprint to the end of one of the islands in the parking lot and mosey back.  Repeat 4 times.  I think we scared the poor woman during her early morning walk, because we ran around her multiple times.

Mosey back to the shovel flag for a quick round of gas pumpers and we were done.

2.0 workout at Nirvana coming up soon.

Welcome to Biohack (downrange), Moonshine from Cherokee, and our irregular, regular McAfee.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I had a crazy weekend with family, and needed a reset today. Pushing myself to Q is always a good way to get yourself out of your comfort zone and reset.  I enjoyed the groans and general quietness today, means that I pushed myself and the group just enough.

Until next time!
