Three bald bold men with cinder blocks converge before dawn in a poorly-lit park – what could go wrong?


Disclaimer, grab your brick, and mosey to the starting line.  Quick warmup of SSH, Weeds, Moroccan night clubs.  One Pax didn’t bring a brick so we went spelunking for a suitable substitute.

The Thang:

To a soundtrack of songs from 1973, perform the following routine.

Start at first of four islands along the arched parking lot facing the ampitheater

Round 1:

Perform 20 crossover merkins.

Lug brick 40 yards to next island, perform 15 of same exercise.

60 yard lug to next island, perform 10 reps.

70 yard weighted mosey, to final island at top of arc, and perform 4 reps.

Complete 20 burpees, then run around the backside of the ampitheater and back to starting line.

Perform shuttle run to each the same islands until reaching the last island where your brick is waiting for you.

Retrieve brick and mosey back down the arc to the starting line.

Rounds 2-4:

Rinse and repeat, substituting the following exercises:

Thrusters; Curls (emphasis on form – no rocking and straight arms); upright rows.

Since I’m a nice guy, reduce the burpee count at the top of the arc each round – 20, 15, 10, 4.

That’s 49 reps of each exercise, 49 burpees, and about 3 miles of travel.
