The Olympics are a special time where the world’s greatest athletes get together to compete in events we would otherwise never watch. Events that we were able to participate in this morning, despite a lack of snow.
Rip showed up right at 5:30 so we moseyed to grab him and then were off to the upper lot for warm ups:
Everyone then grabbed a partner and we went down to the pond.
The morning’s first feature was the quadrathlon, in which the following events were covered:
Bonnie belays (self explanatory)
Luge (big boys)
Toy soldiers (figure skating toe touches)
Ski jump (squat jacks)
Partner A hit a lap around the pond while Partner B began their bonnie belays, until A returned and relieved B, upon B’s lap he would begin the Luge. And so on and so forth.
When the four laps were up, we moseyed to the football field where high speed glory waited upon us all. Bear had mentioned earlier that his competition of choice would be speed skating, and YHC had set up a short track for just such an occasion. 4 cones in a 10yd x 10yd square. All partner As lined up and sprinted around 5 laps while Bs planked.
After two heats it was time to head back to the flag, which meant the last event of the day- the potato sack race was… bagged.
A few minutes of Mary got us to 6:15.
I believe there’s a Hogwallow run tomorrow. Thanks for getting out there gents, it’s always fun to cook up some beatdowns with yall in the early AM!
