As it was time for YHC to Q again, Groundhog Day seemed like a nice obscure holiday to have some fun with. The theme was from the movie Groundhog Day with Bill Murray where he repeats the same day over and over at 6AM with the song I’ve Got You Babe playing.
Gathered around the work-out equipment next to the flag. Q led the PAX through the following exercises.
The Q then started PAX on a short mosey over to the tennis courts, with the instructions that if we come across a groundhog, we have to do 5 Burpees. Of course there were 3 groundhogs encountered along the mosey.
Arrived at the backside of the tennis courts where there was a steep hill with 4 buckets on top. PAX were divided into 4 teams and instructed to bear crawl up the hill, do 10 Stone Mountains, reach into the bucket and pull out a piece of paper (yellow = Spring, blue = Winter), then bear crawl back down. The remaining team at the bottom did exercises corresponding to Spring or Winter.

PAX moved onto the tennis courts. Started with a group activity with the tune “I’ve Got You Babe” playing. On each Got You Babe, the PAX did a Burpee.
PAX then went around to 6 different Groundhog posters. Each poster had a set of exercises. Every 6 min, an alarm would go off (similar to the movie) and the PAX would do a hot lap around the tennis courts, then return to their last location. Hits from 1993 were played (same year that Groundhog day came out)
Wide Arm Merkins
Returned coupons to original location and headed back to flag. No time for Mary so counted off and ended with prayer.
