Week started the week off big with an epic return by the one and only Rooney, who appeared like an apparition in the distance as he mosey’d toward the flag.  Too bad he forgot gloves.


Group Q today, so YHC (aflac) got things started with a mosey along the gravel trail, toes-over-knees style backwards up the hill past the tennis courts, and directed PAX to circle-up by the gymnastics building for the following warm-ups:

  • SSH’s
  • Slow Squats
  • Weed Picker’s


The Thang:

Rotating Q was the plan of the day, so YHC planned to start things off with some coupon work. However, it was noted that Rooney wasn’t wearing gloves, so Q offered to modify the first exercise to accommodate.  Said offered was declined, so Q directed all PAX to fetch a coupon from the perfect pile and head towards the bottom of the parking lot.  Instructions were given as follows:

  • Push coupon up parking lot for 2 spaces.
  • Perform 15 curls.
  • Rinse/repeat until reaching the top of the lot (about 30 spaces).
  • Slow squats for the six.

Next up in the rotation, Bear directed PAX towards the grass hill for some additional knees-over-toes work:

  • 15 Jump Squats at the top of the hill.
  • Run to the bottom, then perform 20 Merkins.
  • Run backwards up the hill.
  • Rinse/repeat 3 times.

Once completed, Yankee took the reigns and directed PAX to head for the coupon pile at the end of the parking lot by the football fields for the following:

  • Perform 20 Curls, then run across the parking lot to the stop sign and perform 20 Merkins.
  • Run back to the coupon.
  • Perform 20 Skull Crushers, then back to the stop sign for another 20 Merkins.
  • Run back to the coupon.
  • Perform 20 Squats (with coupon), the back to the stop sign for a final 20 Merkins.
  • Run back to the coupon.

With the six in, Tubbs directed everyone to the nearest turf field for some ab work. He started us off with some J-Lo’s and passed the baton to each PAX around the circle to pick an exercise.

With T-4 remaining, head back to the flag.


Great to have Rooney back in action after a long hiatus – let’s continue to work on that list of long-lost PAX!
