It is winter, there is discontent, but the earth keeps spinning, and around the corner is spring. That means, for some folks, going to the beach. For others, yard work or heavy landscaping done with shirts off (and for extra credit, in jorts – or not). And for those who make their living with their hands, backs, and legs, continued need to stay strong. How one is able to perform those tasks is predicated on perserverance and strength. Hence, YHC’s job this morning was to ensure that ALL pax, regardless of their fitness level and purpose in getting fit, continue to accelerate in their journies. Hence, a reasonably straight forward but ruthlessly efficient was the order of the day. Plus – with Festivus coming (Gregorian calendar timing vs. Julian), everyone needs to be prepared for the feats of strength.

A) 25 Squat Thrusters / 25 Coupon Swings, 1 lap
B) 50 Incline Block Merkins (to lift and separate those chest muscles) / 50 Rows, 2 laps
C) 75 Goblet Squats / 75 Stiff Leg Deadlifts, 3 laps
Repeat A and B, DID NOT DO THE 1 LAP AFTER A; 2 Laps after sequence B (Drop C)

Prayers/praise going up for: a) Splinter, for a rapid return to health as he recovers from appendicitis; b) Eric Blissett, as he is now conscious and is preparing to enter rehab as he recovers from covid; c) YHC as the discernment for next career path is greatly needed.
Vince Lombardi said that fatigue makes cowards of us all. Today’s beatdown tested everyone (as it was intended to do), but there was not a coward in the bunch. Everyone powered through, we finished together, and more importantly, EVERYONE got stronger. Iron does sharpen iron, and when YHC looks back on where he started vs where he is now, there is an absolute certainty that the PAX of F3 have been the driver on all those gains in fitness.
