Playlist is ready. Whiteboard is ready. It’s cold and rainy. I might be on my own this morning (is what I’m thinking)…
Looks like a solid group. Let’s go!
Mosey’d around the parking lot. As soon as we took off, it started raining hard. Like the manly men we are, I then shortened the run and we headed back under the overhang where our cinders were.
Toy Soldier x 12
Mountain Climber x 12
Slow Merkins x 5 (included GOAT’s “Hold It!”)
Copperhead Squats x 10
J-Lo’s x 10
Partner A cusacks the cinder around the parking lot. Partner B does the exercise. When Partner A returns to the starting spot (under the overhang), then switch.
Here is the list of exercises we worked through:
Decline Merkins (feet on the block)
Vertical Chest Press
Prayers for Woody, his brother Drew and the pending bone marrow transplant. Prayers for Chalupa and his hernia (which will require surgery). Prayers for Snax as he continues to recover from a recent illness. Praise for The Burn who expressed a desire to just get better, all the way around. Praise for Outhouse who’s helping a family that lost a daughter a year ago by renovating a room in their house. Reminder about the Santa Ruck tomorrow.
I was very proud to be a part of this group this morning. We had a total of 6 guys in the cold and rain busting their butt. Then when we finished, they talked about how they want to get better (which all of us should strive to do). They were speaking to this when most are tucked away in bed on a rainy morning. A very inspiring group this morning.
