Checked the fresh Q sheet for the Boneyard late last week and it looked pretty full…but no one had stepped up for this Monday! I was thrilled to grab the Q.
After multiple missteps at Sawnee on Saturday, my ankle said no pre-run. Fortunately, woke up feeling more than ready to get through the beatdown. Arrived at 0525 to a good crowd. Dinghy and Morphine would come in at 0529 to get us to 11.
Mosey toward the side exit and loop back toward the start. Right turn into the parking lot and circle up near the dog park. Just enough light here for what was to come. Perform the following exercises:
Imperial Walker x 15
Weedpicker x 15
LBACs x 10 forward and reverse
Mountain Climber x 15
Plank Jack x 15
Partner up for Rock Paper Scissors. Play 10 rounds of Rock Paper Scissors, the winner does mercans and the loser does burpees. Counts escalate for each round, 1-10.
This one is always fun. YHC and Maguire ended up splitting the reps pretty evenly, not sure how all the other pairs fared.
Mosey toward Park Place and our first destination, the roundabout for a Homer’s Donut. Homer may post in Gwinnett now, but this is his legacy in the Alpha. PAX space out around the circle then begin bear crawling clockwise. At Q’s call, stop and each PAX will perform 5 mercans in succession while the others plank. We made one full loop with 3 stops for mercans before the Q called it.
Mosey to the end of the parking lot for our routine. Pyramid consisting of:
10 big bois
30 Am Hammers (single)
Add an exercise each time (start with 10, then 10+20, etc). After each round, run to the far end of the parking lot, perform 5 burpees, and return to the start.
With about 5 minutes on the clock, we picked up the six on the way back to the flag.
Got in a few exercises- Crunchy Frog, Gas Pumper, something from Morphine that I can’t remember, and ended with the Protractor.
Vertigo VQ tomorrow @ Gladiator
