After waking up and attempting (successfully I might add) to not wake the 10 month old 2.0 and thus the M, I began my morning routing to get ready for the BD. I got dressed and walked outside to head to the AO only to realize I had severely under dressed for what felt like the coldest morning in history (that’s just my opinion, I’m a summer person). I turned around grabbed my long sleeve F3 Jericho shirt (which was appropriate considering the AO) and a pull over then headed to get some mileage in before the BD.
3 PAX (including YHC) showed up at 5am for a little extra circular activities in the form of a 2 mile run. Great conversations were had and all PAX bettered themselves.
Before the BD we noticed that our territory was being taken by a group that pays to be told how to suffer (who does that?) This will have to be taken care of, but not how, as it’s 5:30 and we have work to do.
Mosey’d to the top baseball field parking lot for a little snow/winter themed WoR to celebrate the return of Snowman.
Jumping jack frost’s (aka side straddle hop)
Mountain snowman poopers (aka mountain man poopers)
For many many weeks YHC had been hearing the cries of a set of stairs that looked so friendly and inviting. It’s like they had been calling my name like Sirens. I could no longer resist them. So like any good PAX would do, YHC decided to take his closest PAX with him to visit these beautiful creatures.
To our surprise, the Sirens turned out to be Mount Everest. What a cruel situation this turned out to be. But, being the strong PAX we are, we decided not to waste what was obviously a great opportunity. We climbed Mount Everest.
We started our Journey with 10 jump squats, 10 peter parkers, and 10 Carolina dry docks. It was time to conquer the mountain. The only proper way to climb a mountain is with large steps, so we lunged our way up. Once at the top we learned this was only the beginning. We made mosey’d our way back down for 9 more rounds doing 1 less rep each time.
Remember how YHC said our territory was being taken? Well, now is the time to fix that. After conquering Mount Everest, we made our way back up the longest hill in AO history to the football field. It was time to reclaim our field and show them what suffering for free looks like. We proceeded to climb the angle ladder performing exercises (Australian snow angels, slalom ski squats, snow angels, Merkin angels, and burpees) every 20 yards while moseying to and from the goal line.
We finished off the suffering with the Snowflake plank for an undisclosed amount of time. Was is 1 minute or 1 hour? Only YHC knows the answer to that question, but it was enjoyed by all.
There were may prayer request and praises. We discussed ways to support our fellow PAX who are out as well as praised those who are on the mend.
We thanked the Sky Q for giving us the opportunity to better ourselves and asked for guidance and leadership in helping us steer our families. We prayed for the healing of those in need and praised those who are on the mend.
It was an honor to Q the return of snowman and the workout was enjoyed by all, or at least that’s how I interpreted the sentiments of the grunts, huffs, and moans.
