Today is going to be a nice day for a morning…YHC prepped for the Q after the 2.0’s swim meet last night not sure how it was going to flow, but let’s have at it.
5:30am…False Start and YHC on the pre-ruck and arrived just in time to see a nice crew gathered in the parking lot.
6am…the usual disclaimers. I thought about doing an “On this day in history” referencing in the year 1812, President James Madison declared war on Britain, which would infer many many reps…but I’ll save that for another day. Let’s mosey to the tennis courts.
The usual with a newbie…SSH, Weedpickers, Imperial Walkers, and Finkle Swings (never pulled these out so the 1-2-3 cadence was a bit off).
Now that we’re warmed up and it’s getting light, let’s head over to the lake and watch the sunrise. Mosey on down and from a line on the sidewalk so everyone gets the view .
20 reps, 3 sets
American Hammer (A)
Freddy Mercury (A)
Round 2….Dam….Here we go to the WindDammer. Good thing False Start and I rucked past it prior so I could view and modify as needed.
Reps…10, 25, 50, 25, 10
At the top….Burpees, Merkins, LBC, Merkins, Burpees
At the bottom….Squats, Squats, Squats, Squats, Squats
Still more time! Over to the Sports Park
Round 3…Four corners with a little meet me in the middle…but first, grab a coupon.
In the middle, 20 reps each…Curls, Overhead Press, Rows, Elf on the Shelf
In the Corners, 20 reps each…Plankjack (Surely also did shoulder taps), Lunches (A), Squats (of course), Calf Raises.
Let’s not forget the dog barking…a lot of barking.
And finally, back to the Flag. But not before we saw Cookie enjoying an old man morning, sitting on a bench enjoying the sunrise. Life is good!
One round of Mary…of course, the boxcutter to a 15 count.
And that’s time
Name O Rama for FNG, Sam. We learned that Sam has many times to virtually every SEC school and is originally from Knoxville. The only school he didn’t have any such affiliation was Georgia so you guessed it.
Prayers, Praise, Announcements…
Prayers for Cookie and his mucho mile event this weekend.
Close out with a quick prayer and let’s have some coffee before a few PAX head over to Cookie’s boat and cast a line in the water.
Thanks to False Start for his TNT message…Simple….Chicken Fried.
It’s the little things in life that make life worth living. And thanks to Walkie Talkie for bringing out the singing voice.
