Strength and Honor

AO: Bad Apple

When: 05/21/2021

QIC: Sprocket

PAX (5): Snax, Turbine, Rusty, Ollie

some of y’all may have heard that I and another PAX took on a challenge over the past year. It involves a popular Memorial Day ritual that many Americans will undertake in honor of a patriot who sacrificed himself for his teammates and ultimately for his country.

Gave disclaimer and got down to business with Sungods 15X, SSH’s 15X (IC), Windmills 15X and a run up to the pull-up station with a kettle bell, 60# sandbag and full-size cinder.

The Thang:

The Murph

1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 Merks
300 Squats
1 mile run

After doing this WO a few times, I’ve come to appreciate the differences between proper form for each exercise involved. So, after the run portion was undertaken, QIC admonished the PAX to modify pull-ups with kb, cinder or sandbag rows once pull-up form began to suffer if/when necessary. Cranked some metal covers of 80’s tunes and everyone got to work. All PAX continued working until 2 minute warning was called and all returned to the shovel flag. No time for Mary.

Thoughts and prayers offered up for the strength needed to lead our families, coworkers and employees.
