This year President’s Day immediately followed Valentine’s Day. I hope many PAX were M-Sacking as only 5 of us rolled out of bed to accelerate in the First F. Following a quick recital of the F3 Mission and Core Principles, we mosied over to behind the stage to warm up.
A simple warm up was planned this morning. Weed Pickers, Moroccan Night Clubs, Side Straddle Hops, and Goofballs was all we had time for before we took a long mosey down to the pond.
We have done several Dora workouts, but YHC doesn’t remember us completing a Diego to date. YHC was chaperoning a tween lunch date with my Shortie when I found this perfect location for a Diego. With a nearly 1/4 mile loop and coupons readily available, the pond will likely be a fun place to play in Beatdowns to follow.
Partner up, one runs the loop, the other does the workout until runner returns. Switch roles, repeat until complete:
100 – ‘Merkins
150 – Overhead press w/ coupon
200 – LBC
250 – Coupon Curls
300 – Squats w/ Coupon
Due to an odd number of PAX, YHC partnered with Puff Daddy and YouTube. Puff Daddy and I took off on a mosey while YouTube started completing the Merkins. When we completed the loop, YouTube shouted, “seventy!” Looking at Puff Daddy, YHC said, “surely he meant 70 remaining!” PD asked Radar how many YouTube’s brother Birdie completed to which he replied “sixty-five!” We felt a bit shortchanged on the Merkins, and because it was YHC’s count, we did around 45. Once YouTube returned, we took off on another mosey around the pond where PD and I mumblechattered about what a monster YT and Birdie are. That is when I said that they are Merkin Monsters.
Once we completed the LBCs, and Coupon Curls were in rhythm, we heard the sound no PAX at Hall of Justice wants to hear. The Train Horn. A couple weeks ago on Slack, we made a pact to complete 10 burpees anytime a train passed. This was the first time a train had passed since we made that pact. 10 burpees, then back to Coupon Curls. On the mosey with PD, YHC said we should come up with a name for the train burpees. I suggested Punch Your Ticket. There were no objections (not that I offered or asked) so it stuck. Every time a train passes at Hall of Justice, a PAX will Punch Your Ticket with 10 burpees.
As we neared the completion of the Beatdown, there was some mumblechatter about the steps and hill climb to get back to the stage for 6MOM. Although YHC desired to walk, I instead chose to mosey, which allowed us to have 5MOM. Box Cutters, Heel Taps, Gas Pumpers, and Flutter Kicks until 6:15. YHC was beat by his own beatdown.
Prayers for Magnolia who is traveling in TX in the winter weather. He promised to complete the beatdown OYO. Prayers for YHC’s M eye surgery coming up. Prayers for Radar’s trip to FL for a half marathon.
Several PAX brought shoes to send to West Africa. These shoes will help save lives by preventing worm infestation in bare feet. Way to live third!
YHC absolutely loves the men who meet me in the gloom every Monday morning. It is an honor to serve as site Q for Hall of Justice. Remember to live third. The only way you can do that is if you love those you lead.
