Down in the Hole
AO: Jericho
When: 11/20/2020
QIC: White Claw
PAX (6): Duece, Hushpuppy, Snowman, Schneider, Dumpster
Preamble:
1 for the pre-run
Warm-O-Rama:
There happens to be a personal training studio in the shopping center next to the park so YHC figured we go over there to show them how to get a good warmup in. Starting off with the traditional SSH we quickly went into Monkey Humpers (missed our resident monkey caller Devito on this one), Alabama Prom Dates, and Pickle Pounders.
The Thang:
After a good laugh and warmup we headed to the football field to jump in the trenches. PAX lined up on the sideline to do a routine call the Foxhole. The Foxhole starts w/ 1 WWI sit up followed by rolling to your stomach to perform 1 Merkin then roll back to your back for 1 WWI sit up back to 1 Merkin all the way to the other side of the field. YHC thought that sounded a little too easy and added the escalating factor so instead of 1 WWI sit up and 1 Merkin every time PAX would add a rep. The moans and groans started around 10 reps of each exercise and PAX weren’t even halfway across the field which brought YHC unimaginable joy. Nonetheless PAX kept marching..er rolling to the other side. WWI sit ups were modified to LBC’s halfway across the field. Happy to report no man was left behind and depending on the width of your roll PAX completed 20-25 reps of each exercise which ranged anywhere between 210 and 325 reps total of each exercise.
Next we moseyed to the back parking lot stopping at every light for 10 Jump Squats. Snowman asked whether we would stop if the lights were out. YHC responded with a yes excitedly and even threw in lights that were out that were on the baseball fields and not even on the road.
The last attempt was to get in a Burpee mile but instead of regular ol Burpees PAX would complete 10 Body Builders after each lap and PAX would do 10 Diamond Merkins EMOM. PAX were able to complete 2-3 laps before heading back to the flag.
COT:
Prayers for those affected by the virus
Prayers for our country to come together and become united
Hushpuppy charge: Instead of using the term “I have to” use the term “I get to”. These are unprecedented times in our country and saying you “Have to” go to work instead of you “Get to” go to work makes a big difference with a lot of people unable to work for various reasons. Hopefully I didn’t butcher the charge to bad and the message is still received!
Naked-Man Moleskin:
Always a pleasure to lead and bring pain
