Time for Training

AO: The Shadow

When: 10/19/2020

QIC: Manhole

PAX (7): CIA, CurveBall, Gopher, Manhole, Scout, Suds, Team Mom

What started off to be a great sports day in the ATL gave way to two fairly epic failures for the Braves and The United.

YHC was in no mood to re-live either of those realities, so instead, we fired up the pain train and got after it.

After a brief disclaimer, we got into it. (All IC and all x12 – two rounds)

  • Imperial Walkers
  • Large Arm Circles (forward/round 1 and reverse/round 2)
  • Side Straddle Hop
  • Low Slow Squats
  • Windmills
  • Stone Mountains

and we were off on a little…

The Thang:

mosey over to Manhole’s Party Pavilion where we paused for a brief station identification and directions.

Around the green we would go, with stops at the amphitheatre, the road, the gate and back to the pavilion (two rounds) and at each stop:

  • 10 Merkins
  • 10 Squats
  • 10 LBCs

Once the six was in, three rounds of fun (all x10 and all IC)

  • Dips
  • Step-ups
  • Derkins (OYO)

Mosey back over to and on to the right field for some Mary: (all IC all x12)

  • Dunwoody Debbies
  • Low-la-litas
  • Leon’s Box-Cutters
  • American Hammers
  • Obliques (left and right)
  • Low Flutters (x24)

Mosey over to the stairs (3 rounds). Up the stairs (hands-up) and down the ramp.

10 HRMs (OYO)

Team Mom took us out with words of encouragement and brotherhood.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Team Mom has the Q for 0530 on Tuesday and Stripper has the Q for the late shift at 0600

For Thursday Captain Cinderblock Monkey Humper Chain Gang has the early shift and Seles will gather up the stragglers at 0600

A few things to follow up on:

  • Next Up – Give to Give – the fundraising event that GreenBean talked about on Saturday: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/f3-foundation-inc/give-2-give (if someone wants to take point on aggregating donations, great, offer up your venmo and set a deadline to collect (Goal is to collect $200K in October) There is a video by Dark Helmet if you need more information

  • ThunderMeat Run:  Here is the link to the Thundermeat Endurance Amalgamation race. The race is next Saturday in Roswell starting at 6:30pm. There are 44 guys signed up for the 20 Miler. I would guess 30-35 of them are fellow F3 brothers from around the Atlanta area. This will be a great way to meet some new men and to share business opportunities. There will be plenty of time to talk on the trail, that’s one of the best parts of endurance races:
    Registration closes: Wed, Oct 21 @ 11:59PM
