After months BRR training, it was time for YHC to return to the Gladiator. Early arrival to the AO to lay out cards for the beatdown, and found Zohan there already on the run. The cooler weather brought out a lot of PAX, who were still rolling in even as YHC issued the disclaimer.


Run to the upper pavilion parking lot (dodging Hitchcock along the way). Circle up for:

  • SSH x 25
  • Weedpicker x 10
  • Toy Soldier x 12
  • Copperhead Squat x 15

Mosey down to the soccer field for the main event.

The Thang:

Of all the Gladiator BDs over the last 2+ years, Delicious’ VQ is one of the most memorable. And he even wrote a BB for it! YHC had been thinking about rolling this one out for a while and today seemed like a great time.

Given our preference for social distancing, the PAX split themselves between the 4 corners to start. After completion of the round, return to the goalbox and BBSU for the six.

PAX were then informed that we would be traversing the field by a combination of Burpee Broad Jumps and running. Start with BBJ, then on Q’s call switch to running, switch back on next call, etc. This ended up being quite a burner, so called for a 10-count once we reached the end.

Couple rounds of Mary at the goal box while waiting for the six. The PAX completed 8 exercises for 64 reps each as they completed the corners. Ergo, Crazy Eights of Pain.

Given the presence of Scratchoff this morning, Q called for Lt. Dan back across the field. YHC could tell the PAX were super excited about this one! Once across the field, back to the flag.

Quick round of SSH led by Hitchcock, then a Mercan ring of fire followed by a circle burp. Wasn’t easy with 15 PAX, but we all made it through. Raspberry Pi closed us out with a round of Mountain Climbers.
