YHC did a quarantine workout with my youngest son a few months ago and wanted to share the fun with the Gladiator PAX. In the end, everyone was raving about the sheer joy this workout brought them and I was humbled to take you guys through it.
Mosey to the pavilion parking lot and had to clear out of the way of an almost-on-time Hitchcock screeching in with his Caddy using all 8 cylinders. Circled up for:
Weed Pickers x12
Hillbillies x13 (lost count)
We apparently woke up a tree full of birds so, for the safety of the PAX, we moved on to the soccer pitch.
We partnered up then, starting on the end line, we did a series of Dora exercises. YHC reminded everyone the field had a series of vertical lines and while Pax1 did the exercise, Pax2 would run to the third line and back then switch places. After each exercise, we moved up a line on the field so as to overly complicate what should be a simple set of exercises. Exercises included:
50 Burpees (as promised, we got these out of the way early)
100 lunges single count
200 plank jacks
300 air presses
We left some SSH on the table since we ran out of time and headed back to the flag. We planked with various appendages raised and lowered then did a fun in-cadence set of 17 Mercans to close things out. Mumblechatter volume rose with each set of five mercans since only YHC knew the final count.
Prayers requested for Raspberry Pi’s M as she is sick with an unknown illness. Please pray for Black Box, Shiner, Hitchcock, and others who have relatives and coworkers with COVID. Prayers for WISDOM for us as men, for our local, state, and national elected officials and for those around us. If we let it, God’s wisdom will guide us exactly where He wants us to be.
21 years ago today my wife went into labor with our second son Stefan (F3 name is Clog). He was born on 7/17/99 and is heading into his 4th hear of college, is a real estate agent, and an overall great guy who makes this Poppa proud. He’s one of the many reasons I get up ITG to get stronger with you guys and it’s always an honor to lead a workout. Thanks for pushing yourselves this morning and I look forward to seeing everyone after we get back from the beach.
