As 5:30 approached and Badapple acting as a distraction, I was finally able to relax and enjoy my bday Q without the threat of having to be crushed by wearing Sprocket’s weighted vest.

18 PAX were at the flag at 5:30 and we moseyed to the football field parking lot for the Disclaimer and Warm-up as follows:

  • 12 Windmills
  • 12 Weed Pickers
  • 12 Imperial Walkers
  • 12 Side Straddle Hops

The Thang:

Each PAX grabbed a coupon after warmup and partnered up. Partner 1 performed the exercises listed below (with coupon) while Partner 2 ran backwards to the 50-yard line, did a burpee, and then ran back to the goal line to switch with Partner 1.  This rotation continued until the prescribed number of each exercise was achieved.

Round 1

  • 150 Merkins (no coupon)
  • 300 Curls
  • 150 WW1 Sit-ups (no coupon)
  • 300 Overhead Presses

As groups finished they met in the end zone for mary before moving to Round 2.

Round 2

  • 100 Sumo Squats
  • 200 Rows
  • 100 Romanian Deadlifts
  • 200 American Hammers

At 6:10 the coupons were returned and we moseyed back to the flag for 1 minute of mary.  Special thanks to Bronco for carrying the speaker back!

Bronco reminded the group that the Beer Mile will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 4pm.  The sign up sheet and rules can be found on the general channel (among others).

Naked-Man Moleskin:

A little over two years ago Circus invited me to come work out with some friends.  I’d just finished training for a marathon and considered myself to be in pretty good shape.  Aflac’s beatdown that day showed me otherwise!

Today was a Bday Q for me so a thanks goes out to all of you guys for encouraging, pushing and supporting me in the past two years.  Because of this, I’ve grown physically and mentally, and gained a lot of great friends along the way. Squeak and I often reflect that it’s great to be getting younger!
