Good group this morning for the SLR. It served as a great warmup for the main event to come.
Disclaimer given. Mosey to the parking lot by what used to be Hurricane’s and looks like it will now be some kind of French Bakery (“c’est la vie” or something like that).
Warmup consisted of: SSH, WP, IW, MNC
Then YHC announced that our fun today would be a variation of the Burpee Mile. Which is run 1/10th of a mile, then do 10 burpees, then run 1/10th of a mile, then 10 burpees and so on. There was some mumble about “Where’s the variation?” as we started off to which YHC responded, “we’ll do some other stuff at the halfway mark”. Seemed like a good variation to me.
YHC had mapped the locations the night before, so that we would end halfway right at the track. And thus we did, the PAX looked ready for a break.
We then proceeded to do 11’s on the bleachers with calf raises and dips.
Then we went to the track (where the surface was softer than the pavement) for some more 11’s with squats and big boy situps.
Back up the stairs, and back to complete the second half of the Burpee Mile. We finished back at the parking lot by C’est La Vie Hurricane’s.
Next mosey back to the Flag for some MoM: Rosalita, Birth Canal, American Hammers
Prayers for health and gratitude.
Proud to lead these HIM today, great group and we finished with a beautiful sunrise. Always a great way to start off a day.
