I’ve been looking forward to getting back into a more regular beat down routine now that the marathon is over.  Wanted to focus on straighten and high cardio so had a little circuit routine planned for the morning.   The regular dedicated PAX showed up and the typical fart sackers like Bronco slept in.


Ran up to upper parking lot and did a warm up of:

  • SSH
  • Hillbillies
  • Toy Soldiers
  • Weed Pickers

The Thang:

Started off down by the playground.  The group did the first circuit all together:

  1. Merkins – 20x at the playground
  2. Curls with coupons – 20x at the rock pile
  3. Overhead presses with coupons – 20x
  4. Donkey Kicks – 20x at the baseball field fence
  5. Dips – 20x at the wall
  6. Calf raises – 20x
  7. Sprint up the hill
  8. Jump squats – 20x at the top of the hill
  9. Burpees – 10x by the top of the stairs going down to the park
  10. Pull-ups – 5x at the playground

Rinse and repeat until the Q calls the activity.

With 10 mins to go, Q had everyone meet at the rock pile to do a little Captain Thor routine of 4 American hammers to 1 Big Boy sit-up.  Group started at 1 and worked there way all the way to 10 with the help of Miller Time not letting the Q short the last 10 Big Boys.

Quick sprint back to the flag and time was called.


Prayers for my brother in law.  He has advanced liver cancer and has a long road in front of him.
